This Stray Rats x New Balance MT580 is set to drop in October but no retail prices have made it out of the sewers. A bright mossy green appears on the N logo and tongue tab, giving this iteration a Scooby Dooby Doo look.īoth pairs feature a dubrae marked with the Stray Rats’ logo and Rollbar midsoles for extra support. Layered on top are burgundy nubuck overlays along with hits of neon yellow that line the upper and N logo. Royal purple start on the toe box and run up the tongue, meeting deep brown laces. Bright cobalt blue finishes off the silhouette, with it appearing as accents on the N logo and on the tongue.Īccompanying this option is a moodier palette, with similar colors but in a deeper spectrum. Hits of hot pink lands on the laces and collar lining while lime green lines the N logo, accentuates the 580 on the tongue, and finds a cozy spot for itself on the sole unit. The first of which sees a silver blue base with dark nubuck overlays. Following suit, Stray Rats produces two vibrant colorways for the New Balance MT580.
Marc Jacobs was a notable participant with technicolor looks that eventually bled into the year’s fashion trends. Those foraying into fashion in the ’07 will remember that blocks of solid color poured out onto the runway, with vibrant greens, shocking purples and bright yellows adorning models. As suggested by Consuegra on his instagram account Stray Rats looks to pay tribute to this 2007 introduction of the MT580. They will be available in men’s and women’s sizing with a retail set at 250. Similar to the New Balance 991, the New Balance MT580 is also an older model that first debuted in Japan in 1996, but was later exported to the US in 2007. The Stray Rats x New Balance 991 in both the Black and Grey colorways are set to release via raffle on December 10th on Stray Rats followed by a global release on December 17th, 2021. The 827 model was a runner that was originally designed and released in 1998. The latest release from Stray Rats and New Balance, this time focusing on the vintage 574, has been scheduled for release later this week, on January 8th, 2021. STRAY RATS X NEW BALANCE 574 RELEASE INFORMATION The second pair is even brighter, mixing a pink base layer with dark red suede overlays and hits of bright green to round out the look. The first pair in the pack comes in what we have learned are the ‘signature’ shades of Stray Rats, a mix of dark and light green shades for the 574’s nylon and suede upper, with hints of purple interspersed throughout. Now, the two are reaching even further into the NB archives, showing off two bright colorways of the 574 to help kick off the new year later this week. In 2020, the two released their take on the New Balance 827, a vintage runner with plenty of surface area to craft a unique color scheme. Stray Rats and New Balance first partnered up to create limited-edition sneakers early in 2019, and have been releasing some of the most sought-after collaborations in recent years.
